I’ve used Photoshop for all of the originals I’ve done on here. I think Megan’s used photoshop too, but I don’t know what Tessa’s used. For me personally, I recommend playing around with shapes and textures. And when you’re putting words on your graphics, don’t be afraid to mess around with different types of fonts. This masterpost has a huge number of links to places with pretty much everything you need for making graphics.
For gifs, always sharpen, but don’t sharpen too much. A popular font I’ve seen for words on gifs lately is Myriad Pro, but I’ve used bolded Arial in the past. If you need help making gifs or coloring them, you can either google it or message me, but I’m warning you, I get really excited and talk a lot to anyone who will listen to me about gifs.
Most of all though, do what looks right to you. Trust your gut and if you don’t like it, you can always start over c:
