Hi, and thank you! :D 

First I had a normal solid color for the background, then created a new blank layer and used one of the shape tools to make the pink circle. Then I pasted this texture as a new layer. I selected the circle layer, selected the circle with the magic wand, then right clicked and selected inverse. Then went back to the texture layer, set to black and white, pushed delete, and set to overlay.
