You see this thug?
That’s actually Nathan Greno, one of the directors of Tangled
If you noticed, you can see that the Nathan Greno Thug has two tattoos of a star on both of his arms.
Nathan Greno actually does have those tattoos in real life.
Sorry for the unflattering face Nathan D:
Pinocchio can be seen in the “I Have a Dream” scene while Shorty is being swung across the room.
See?
Also, this guy?
and
They’re not references to anything. The directors thought it would be funny if animals were running around inside.
That backdrop behind Hookhand is actually a background painting from Hunchback of Notre Dame
I forgot this one!
Atilla has a cupcake tattoo! Which is some nice foreshadowing. =P
“Does Mother Gothel love Rapunzel? Yes. Like a possession.”
thank you Glen Keane! I’ve always likened Gothel’s feelings for Rapunzel to one’s feelings for a plant (calling her “my flower,” plus Rapunzel was literally born from a flower) or for a carpet (my mother collects carpets haha). I hope this ends the Gothel/Rapunzel did-she-love-her debate. Glen Keane has spoken!

I was just watching this and realized that it is one of my favorite bits of insight into the Tangled characters.

Nice!
While it may seem that Mother Gothel is the eighth animated Disney villain to fall to her death - following the Wicked Queen (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), Ratigan (The Great Mouse Detective), McLeach (The Rescuers Down Under), Gaston (Beauty and the Beast), Frollo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Queen Narissa (Enchanted), and Charles Muntz (Up) - she does not in fact die in this manner.
She is, however, the only Disney villain to die from extreme and rapid old age - brought on by the sudden loss of the magic effect on her of Rapunzel’s blonde hair. She only happened to be falling out of a 70-foot window at the time; once her cloak hits the ground, she has already turned to dust.
Hair grows around 1cm per month. To grow your hair 70 feet long like Rapunzel, starting from birth, it would take you about 178 years!
